Those of you with outdoor piggies
What housing do you have for your piggies and how are you all insulating it for the winter?

Re: Those of you with outdoor piggies
Our girls have a hutch in the garage with Lady Jane. On warmer days they go out into another hutch in a sheltered area, but if it's really cold or wind or wet they stay n the garage (the door is open for some fresh air, and they have a big window for light and Lady Jane for company).
When it gets really cold they have blankets etc around the hutch too

i'm afraid i gave up with the outdoors last winter as we no longer had a shed (i always moved the hutch into there around the beginning of october).
it was insulated with 2 layers of bubble wrap, a piece of carpet and a duvet - plus the hutch cover. pigglies are indoors now but that might change next year as i will have a garage for the first time ever.

My 5 pigs live in a huge 10*8 shed - which is insulated - they only moved in there 4 weeks ago - sadly my 6th pig died 2 days before the shed was finished.
