I apologise to all the guinea pig lovers on the forum that I didn't get time to photograph any of the lovely piggies that Alice has for rehoming at Windwhistle Warren http://www.windwhistlewarren.org.uk/index.html on the Gulliver thread (http://pledgeapound.net/forum/viewtopic ... &start=320 ) and will get some photos next time I am at Alice's for you.

Re: Guinea pigs at Windwhistle Warren
Last time I went she had had an explosion of piggies.
Re: Guinea pigs at Windwhistle Warren
I would guess about 20 -30 or so guinea pigs ? though I don't know for sure. On her website she only has photos of ones that have been waiting 14months to rehome who were from a group of 23.
( I didn't go to see them last time I went ). I'll see if I can find out?. (There's usually about 70-80 rabbits on her books too, I think? (though I know she's had 120 rabbits on occasion ) Numbers do vary depending on rehoming, though, and also on whether any turn out to be pregnant.

Man it really is busy at WW!
My heart has joined the thousand, for my friend stopped running today.
Re: Guinea pigs at Windwhistle Warren
It is indeed- Alice is such a calm personality with so much to do. I went there with my daughter bunlover once and we cleaned out 50 rabbits putting them all out for a run then getting them back in again and I was absolutely knackered!!!!!! There is a system to it, so the buns get optimum grazing time. Alice does have some volunteers, which I know she is so grateful to, but I don't know how often they're there and it's still a huge amount of physical work. I take my hat off to her- I really do! She gets big vet bills too -which is why every amount she gets from PaP is really appreciated.kermit wrote:Man it really is busy at WW!
If anyone can rehome a guinea pig (or rabbit) please have a look at Alice's site or contact her to see what's available.

Re: Guinea pigs at Windwhistle Warren
In (part) answer to the question how many guinea pigs are at Windwhistle Warren- naturally the numbers vary according to rehoming but Alice has put on the facebook site that 35 guinea pigs were rehomed in the 2nd quarter.
she is looking for a home for Teddy and Chocolate piggies who have toe problems if anyone is interested?

Re: Guinea pigs at Windwhistle Warren
Alice currently has 70 guinea pigs at Windwhistle Warren Rescue (Gloucestershire) http://www.windwhistlewarren.org.uk/adoptg.html -far too many to put photos on the website( I think there are only 4 pics on there)
so if anyone is thinking about having guinea pigs, or a partner for their guinea pig please consider Alice's rescue?
