Re: August donations 2019

I was sure I wrote a thank you, but maybe didn’t post it?
We have quite a few male guinea pigs in need of neutering, so this money can help towards this.
Thank you so much, yet again.

Re: August donations 2019

Wonderful, thank you.
We have some guinea pig boys to be castrated, so this will be a big help.
Thank you all so much!

Halfpenny July update.

It’s been another hectic month, with more animals arriving. We have taken in 3 more bunnies, hopefully going to Beloved Rabbit care and 2 boy guinea pigs who will stay. I’m not sure if there are so many small furries being rehomed because of the holiday, or maybe I’m just becoming very cynical. We s...

Re: Halfpenny June update.

Facebook has already banned animal sales, although it allows rescues to put up rehoming ads. There is also a push to stop the likes of gumtree selling animals too. I hope it doesn’t happen, i’ve certainly seen an upturn in being asked to take more animals since the ban, this week another rabbit and ...

Re: Summer fundraiser 2019

What a wonderful amount, thank you all so much! We have just taken in 3 more rabbits, last month, so they needed vaccinations and the girl needs to be neutered. They are a group of, grandad, daughter and grandson. Thankfully both boys have been castrated. We have called them, Sage, Butterbur and Sha...

Halfpenny June update.

I thought things had begun to settle, but it seems not. We have taken in a bonded group of 3, 2 castrated boys and one entire girl. The owner had them in a hutch outside a block of flats and it was vandalised while they rabbits were in it. The owner is on benefits and cannot afford to replace the hu...

Halfpenny May update.

It’s been another busy month and we are having a big reorganisation of animal housing. It’s a bit ambitious but if we can get it all done, it will make winter so much better for the animals and easier for us. We sadly lost 2 of our 17 year old cats, we knew both had cancer, but it doesn’t make it an...

Re: Halfpenny April update.

We have just taken in another guinea pig, via the police. He was abandoned by his owner in the sleet and snow we had today, stuck in an indoor cage with no shelter, outside. His owner is wanted by the police, we have to keep him for 3 months, in case the owner wants him back, and then he will become...

Halfpenny April update.

It’s been a long month with lots happening. We took in 2 more guinea pigs, and although we don’t generally Rehome, we had a great home looking for a castrated boy to go with 2 girls. I persuaded the owner of one of the boys to have him castrated to join those girls. He was castrated on Monday and di...

Halfpenny March update.

We have been quite busy trying to catch up and also trying to say ‘no’. Not very successfully. We sadly lost Marble, a bunny who wasn’t even 3 but was rehomed to us with dental issues and pasturella. She had no issues here and was a gloriously happy, bouncy, feisy bun. She didn’t go into her breakfa...
