Re: Hopper Haven 2019 updates (from Feb)
April update Yet another busy month. We took in a rabbit from the RSPCA that they had rehomed but was returned to them. Originally found in a lift after being attacked by magpies she didn’t have a great start. As it turns out she’s actually a wild rabbit who displays all the natural behaviours of a ...

Re: Hopper Haven 2019 updates (from Feb)
March 2019 Well we have managed to stop the rain pouring into the stables by rigging a second”roof” system under the asbestos roof.....it works great and only cost us the price of a tarp! https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20190322/37b8b5f48f739ad1fb905b9956321885.jpg Now it’s nice and dry Redcurrant ...

Re: February 2019 donations
Fantastic news that we are a winner.
Thank you to all donators and the PaP team.
We have lots of maintenance to do as Spring approaches, so it will come in very useful

Hopper Haven updates
Winter months can be a bit of a slog, with over 40 sets of accommodation that require even just the simplest things such as putting all the covers down at night, putting them all up again in the morning, changing water, feeding, never mind the mucking out every few days, the grooming, attending medi...

Hopper Haven update
Firstly we would like to start off by thanking PaP for the donations we received throughout the year, both monetary and the secret Santa. Last year was our 13th year, and it lived up to the superstition. We had many rabbits bought to us, some in horrific condition, some that will stay in our thought...

Re: Christmas share out 2018
This is great news.
We’ve just had a tree smash through our barn roof, so whilst we can’t afford to fix the roof properly, it’ll help us with the remedial repairs so we can still make use if the space.
Thank you all so much!

Re: October 2018 donations
Thank you so much for the PaP donation. I’m sorry it’s taken a while for me to spot it, but we’ve had an outbreak of RHD which has been devastating to us, and we have been extremely preoccupied ensuring the safety of all our residents. We will be posting a full story in our website once we are able ...

Re: Rescue Rabbit/Guinea Pig of the Month October 2018
Hi, Can we enter the Berry Boys who were part of our rescue of meat rabbits please? The boys are growing fast, eating and pooping like nobodies business, and the hormones are just starting to kick in, although no plums are visible yet. They are an incredibly sweet group of rabbits, and following the...

Saving the NZW meat rabbits
Some of you may have seen our Facebook and Twitter appeals following the rescue of the 38 NZW meat rabbits. We took 9 into Hopper Haven, but within 2 weeks they became 26 as two mummies gave birth. Here are the gorgeous pokes of white fluffies that have joined the sanctuary BIGWIG ELDERBERRY https:/...
