Re: Fighting rabbits

With fighting rabbits, one of my biggest pieces of advice is to check not just the rabbit but the fur that has been pulled out. It's easy to miss wounds on the rabbit, but if you find skin attached to the fur then you know for sure there is a wound to find. Can you think of anything that might have ...

Re: Parsley seeds

I've just bought some seeds myself but not for that price! I don't even know where my nearest Lidl is, I'll have to google it.

Re: Your favourite stories

What made me laugh more was the woman, when she came to collect, said it made sense because he'd been spraying up the walls all winter (when the other buck was neutered, the other one hadn't dropped yet and was missexed) but she couldn't bring herself to use male pronouns even after a week or two, s...

Your favourite stories

In the business of Rescues, it is easy to get bogged down under stories of sick rabbits, shocking vets and bad owners. How about some of your uplifting or funny stories? One of my favourites was a few months ago- a lady had emigrated from Germany and needed to board her rabbits with us while she set...

Re: Now Daisy is poorly - she's gone :-(

I'm so sorry to hear that :( We've had some amazing bunnies at the rescue that have gone on to lead good lives with head tilt but only when it is stable and if it isn't, you have to be kind in the only way you can. EC is a wretched disease.

Re: Now Daisy is poorly

I'm sorry to hear that, hope she gets well soon. It seems to be a thing at the moment, several of our adoptees have had sudden and serious stasis issues requiring emergency vet treatments. :(

Re: Jinny & Twizzel - big and little lops - HERTS

Unfortunately Twizzel's health has declined and I think I'm right in saying he has limited lung function on one side? He's requiring a lot of nebulising and has been moved to a special needs unit, poor guy.

Remember that Ibis advert with the bunnies all going to sleep on the bed? Now if that was actually offered as a service...

Re: Bunny spa opens in London-Kind or not?what do you think?

Well, just release your own bunbuns into your bathroom and have them roam around (pooping on the floor probably) while you have a bath. More humane and cheaper!

Re: Golden Oldies - mature rabbits looking for homes

He was a stud buck many years ago, I understand he was fated for the table once his usefulness was deemed over, but someone rescued him. He got rehomed and then brought back to us last year. His new intake paperwork gives his dob as 2005. Caroline thought it was 2006 and we haven't managed to find h...
