Re: Please never bath your rabbit or guinea pig

While I agree that submerging either rabbits or guinea pigs in water for anything but proper hydrotherapy by an experienced person is wrong, the title of this post could lead to guinea pigs being left to get avoidable skin problems with which they suffer excrutiating itchiness that can actually lead...

Re: Ice pods and keeping bunnies cool

I got the sanctuary rabbits ready for the heatwave by grooming anybun who was moulting at all and by shaving those with the worst coats. Aniseed now looks tiny! And we have lots of rabbits with bare patches where the new fur isn't growing yet, but that must feel so good! The moutain of fur was enorm...

Re: 10 rabbits into Rabbit Residence yesterday

Poor rabbits, so great they are with you:) But once again I thank my lucky stars for our vet. He is a dental specialist and would only charge us about £60 per rabbit to take those teeth out, although he would have a go at realigning them first. We have had a lot of success with that particularly in ...

New faces

We have been able to take in twelve new rabbits since the end of Feb. This feels really great as there is nothing as satisfying as watching a rabbit enjoy their new found freedom and bask in the love of a new bond. We took in seven rabbits from someone who had had a stroke, a doe and a pair who had ...

Re: Pledge a Pound - January 2015

Many thanks for the donation:) Pledge a pound is such a great fund raising platform. We are very grateful to both the organisers and the supporters. We took in 21 rabbits and 25 guinea pigs in 2014; currently we have 48 guinea pigs and 96 rabbits. We are now in our tenth year, and have a large numbe...

Yay:) And the post I attempted worked:) So I will now try an update. So far this year we have taken in ...

Re: Christmas fundraiser 2014

Wow you have done well this year. The money will be a big help. We have recently taken in 8 more rabbits and one of them is about to produce even more mouths for us to feed. And her older babies are already trying to eat us out of house and home. They were emaciated and filthy when they were brought...
